Admission Information

Applications are due by November 30th each year in order to be in the general lottery the following January. Any applications received after the deadline will be eligible in any lottery held after the January lottery. Applications are kept on file until either your name is drawn in a lottery or the student graduates 8th grade. Students applying for kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1 of the school year applying; students applying for 1st grade must be 6 years old by September 1 of the school year applying.

Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School complies with all state and federal laws that govern admission policies and procedures. FTCES does not discriminate against any student, employee or other person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Admission criteria will not consider intellectual or athletic ability, aptitude, disability, race, creed, national origin, religion or ancestry.

Applications are available via this website or at the school front office. We do no mail applications. Applications can be mailed in or dropped off at the school front office.

McKinney/Vento Act
In accordance with federal and state guidelines under the McKinney/Vento Act, Franklin Towne Charter Schools are committed to removing barriers to education that face students experiencing homelessness.

· Do the members of your household lack a permanent address?
· Are you staying together in a shelter, hotel, or other temporary housing arrangement?
· Have you moved in with another family (doubled up) due to a lack of housing?
· Does your family relocate on a seasonal basis?
· Are any children living with you who have chosen to leave their prior family or household?
