A Message from the Principal

Dear Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School families,

By now, all students/parents should have received a letter for your return to school.  We are so excited for the stupendous things this school year has in store for all of us together!

As the first day of school approaches, we wanted to take the opportunity to welcome to our administrative team our new Deans of Students, though not new to Franklin Towne.  This school year, I am thrilled to be working with Mr. Zachary Campbell and Mr. Tim Smith who will help maintain our climate and culture in the building and steer our students to be their best selves and citizens in our community.  Both gentlemen have been members of our staff for many years and we cannot wait for their continued contribution at an even greater level to making Franklin Towne one of the best schools in the city of Philadelphia to serve you and educate your children as they learn and grow.  We thank Mr. Kocher and Mr. Rorer for their service to the school and wish them the best in the new opportunities they have chosen to pursue.

Also, as the beginning of the year approaches, this coming week is the last week of uniform sales.  We will be open Mon, Tues and Thurs from 8am-2pm and on Wed for extended hours of 8am-6pm so you can stock up on school polos, gym shirts/pants, and other Towne apparel.  Please remember that this is a very convenient time to drop off school supplies which we will ensure gets to your child’s homeroom.  Otherwise, as these days of summer wind down, we look forward to seeing you at Meet Your Teacher Day on the morning of Thursday, August 29th or at Back to School Night in the last week of September.  The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd.  Enjoy what remains of August and get ready for an amazing 2019-2020 school year!

All the best,

Eugenia Koo
