This is my third year of teaching at Franklin Towne and my fifth year of teaching overall. I have spent my entire career teaching in Philadelphia. I received my Music Education degree from Temple University (Go Owls!!) and I am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree with a Principal Certification from Holy Family University.
Along with my teaching career, I am an avid performer. I have performed multiple genres: hip-hop, funk, jazz, classical, and post-modern to name a few. My main instrument is Saxophone, however I am well versed on all instruments.
Students will spend the year singing, playing instruments of all kinds, learning music theory and history, and exploring creativity in music.
The Franklin Towne music program also offers the students an opportunity to be a part of the school choir. The choir is open to students in grades 4-8. Information about the choir will become available after the first few weeks of school.
I cannot wait for the 2017-2018 school year! I am beyond excited to meet the students, parents, and begin our musical journey!!
