Dear Towne Family and Friends,
Welcome to Franklin Towne Charter Elementary Health and Physical Education! The 2018-2019 school year promises to be an exciting school year. One with innovative approaches to the Health and Physical Education curriculum that promises to challenge our students but also provides a safe, enjoyable, and exciting environment for students of all levels and disciplines! This is my eighth year at Franklin Towne Charter Elementary and I am thrilled to be back as a part of the Franklin Towne family.
This year we look forward to smaller class sizes, quicker and more efficient periods and some exciting new developments to our curriculum in team sports and cooperative games! Also, as a part of the Renaissance team, I can promise you there will be plenty of opportunities for our students to be active in order to promote a healthy lifestyle. Some of these opportunities include the “Turkey Trot”, 3 on 3 Tournament and new exciting activities for our student population.
Here is a little bit about myself so you can get to know me better. I grew up in Lower Bucks County where I was both a member of the High School basketball and football teams as well as the student director of the school television station. I played college football for two seasons and I graduated from West Chester University with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Health. I currently coach a high school basketball team yet I enjoy all types of health and fitness but especially weight training, sport specific training and learning new trends in nutrition!
I look forward to a great year and lots of fun and learning in Health and Phys. Ed.!
