My name is Timothy Marren and I am the Math Department Head from Kindergarten to 8th Grade for the 2015-2016 school year.  This is my sixth year as a member of the Franklin Towne family and I pride myself on being a member of this team.  I am full of Towne spirit and I try to bestow that sense of pride on all students I come in contact with.  I am excited to start a new school year and I look forward to the work and growth we will all accomplish this year!

Let me start by giving you a little of my background.  I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I attended Central High School.  My Undergraduate work was completed at West Chester University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Nutrition.  My first career was as a High Risk Adult Probation and Parole Officer for the City of Philadelphia.  While working in the law enforcement field, I completed my Master of Education with Distinction at Cabrini College.  Upon completion of my master's degree, I worked for a year in the Philadelphia School District until I found my home at Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School.

My expectations for student conduct and academic achievement are very high. With your participation both in and out of the classroom, we can look forward to a productive, creative, and enjoyable year together.  I need you to support my efforts in the classroom, and I will keep you informed of your child's progress.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.  Please do not hesitate to e-mail me at

I look forward to working with you in making the students in our school the best they can be.
